Juventus manager Antonio Conte rules out move for former Chelsea man Didier Drogba

Juventus coach Antonio Conte has ruled out making an approach for former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba in the transfer window.

A report in the Gazzetta dello Sport today suggested Juve had made "significant progress" with an approach for the Shanghai Shenhua forward and Champions League winner, who could be tempted back to Europe after failing to settle in China.

The story is too old to be commented.

Would have been a great, great signing for them

I always get the feeling that Italy is the only top league that buys players that are no longer in their prime years wise. Maybe the kind of football they play suits players that may no longer have the legs to play along side younger legs.

That's not true, Utd still play Giggs and Scholes for example. Brad Friedel is still in contention for Spurs No1 at 40. I think most clubs are just too quick to drop older players. Drogba was playing great and stormed Bayern in the CL final, yet Chelsea let him go. Strange decision. He is still very useful.
