Liverpool still struggling with issues from previous American owners

Liverpool is still struggling financially to compete with its rivals because of issues inherited from previous American owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett Jr., according to current owner John Henry.

Henry, who bought Liverpool through his investment company Fenway Sports Group, cautioned fans that it will take longer to rebuild the storied football club than it did with the Boston Red Sox, which is owned by the same group.

True, most people don't realize that the reason Liverpool could not compete was because of the financial health of the club and if we had better owners we could've won the league in 2009 and the following year.
Contrary to what people say, Rafa is an amazing manager who assembled quite a squad with limited funds and only later at his career he had to sell players like Xabi and Arbeloa to get new players, which ended up hurting the team.

The suporters should own the club. Then all issues would always be the best for the team. Not a "somebody" who just want to make money.

Ah typical of new owner. He is just as poor as the previous ones (which I said all along) and so fans don't jump on his back for lack of signings he blames previous owners. The thing is the super rich aren't interested in Liverpool and I wonder why?

benitez won the champions league with the players he inherited from houllier.
apart from few good players like alonso, reina, torres. the rest was just a bunch of dodos.
