remove that o0ver hyped rooney goal

PaPa-Slam4134d ago

Rooney being over hyped has nothing to do with his Goal, The goal was amazing and that's why it made the list.

that goal wasnt over-hyped. if you go back and look at the circumstances he was in when he scored that goal you'll see why its so great.

the thing is, before that, rooney was low in confidence, not having a great season at all. he went from being a goal machine to missing silly chances, penalties, etc. basically he was losing form and becoming more of a torres. but when he scored that goal, his entire game changed. it showed the class that he possesses and gave himself the belief that he can be a great player. after that, his form really picked up and he got back to his normal self.

so yeah, you can say the goal is overhyped, but considering he was missing penalties to scoring a goal of that class, it really is a fantastic piece of skill.

Lmao, if Messi, Ronaldo or Falcao did that, you guys would be creaming in your pants. The fact that it was the clincher AGAINST MANCHESTER CITY makes it even more special. Do you guys know nothing?

FlunkinMonkey4134d ago

No they don't.. Utter fanboys and haters from what i see..

rooney is over hyped came off his shin

Rooney is deserving of the hype because he has done it and proved it at the highest club level.

He may not be Ronaldo, Messi good but he is the next level below them and the work that he puts in for the team in all positions is incredible and one of kind. It's why United fans love him so much, he'll track back and end up left back, right back making a tackle which will then set up the next attack.

Rooney's goal was nice but he threw his leg at it and it came off. If he had of ballooned it he would have looked like an idiot. In saying that I would have to give him brownie points whether it went in or not for proving he could turn upside down at that altitude. I didn't think he had it in him. Cisse's technique on the other hand was pin point accurate.

buddymagoo4134d ago

Pin point accurate hahaha! He sliced it and it turned out to be a goal. You can see the shock in him when it goes in.

asmith23064134d ago

Well the opinion of a bias, can't take a beating, Utd supporter like yourself would have that point of view in this instance :)

buddymagoo4134d ago

Clearly lacking football knowledge if you think he meant that.

I'll admit I am bias towards my own club as most fans are, and I can't take a beating as no man should want to or be happy taking one.

asmith23064133d ago

How does "football knowledge" have anything to do with this? If you mean footballing technique, then yes I would agree but knowledge?? You need that for a quiz, not here bud.
