Walcott: Talks are ongoing, something will be sorted soon

The Gunners attacker has left his future at the Emirates Stadium outfit uncertain following his impressive three-goal display against Newcastle on Saturday as a central striker

The story is too old to be commented.

... the first few months of the season, he was placed mostly on the bench despite playing very well in the minutes he made, probably because Arsenal wanted to pressure him into signing a new contract, which is always a disgusting tactic as far as I'm concerned.

Also, he's been begging for a place as a striker for years now, and Wenger has kept him on the flanks and never really giving him a fair chance to proof himself up front. Only now that Arsenal sees that the bench-thing didn't work it seems they're trying to please him with finally putting him up front (which many fans have already been begging for for years now), and I wonder if it isn't a bit too little, a bit too late. And I'm sure Walcott will have those same doubts.

If I were him, I would have been gone already TBH. Not because of another club offering more money or whatever, but because of the way he's been treated by Arsenal, especially the last few months when he was often benched for no good reason.

A lot of the time Walcott hasn't played because of injury, including the one he suffered in that England match. He didn't start many games because was coming back to fitness over and over again. On top of that when the season started Giroud was given a chance to settle in the team, so that took away any possibility for Walcott to play there. Also at the beginning of the season many would argue that Gervinho, oddly enough, was playing well and Walcott had to wait for a chance again. It was until both Gervinho and Giroud weren't able to play that Walcott got his chance...the last few games.
Now, as for him not signing according to Walcott, comes down to his playing position. However, in his latest interview (7-3 over Newcastle), He said that he is happy to play anywhere on the pitch and that he hoped that his performance opened some eyes. IMO I think he was saying to all possible interested clubs that they should come and try to take him. I hope I'm wrong though.
