Bale might be somewhat overrated by certain sections of support and media but he helped strike a blow here leaving Arsenal 7 points behind Spurs and 5 from 4th.

Arsenal can only hope that the Chelsea v Spurs game is a favourable result for them. Several times now Arsenal have defied the critics who said they won't make 4th, but I think this could be the year it actually happens.

i watched this game, kept my eye on bale to see what all the hype was about him. he is a good player but not what the media is making him out to be. there were bits where he played well but for the most part he looked ok. nothing grand. though i must say, lennon on the other hand needs to move. with the right coaching, this guy could be a beast of a winger.

as for arsenal, just disappointing. no other words for it. in the EPL the regular top 4 just don't seem to be featuring. liverpool are out of it, arsenal are poor. chelsea is in shambles long term. i don't know, these clubs need to get their act together.

I don't think Chelsea are shambles in the long term, I think it's the short term that's the problem. We have a lot of young players and also a smaller squad than similar teams (because for some reason the board likes loaning out players we need). In the long term, when these players get more BPL experience, we're good to go.
A lot of our players are only 22 or younger, like Oscar, Hazard, Piazon, Courtois, and Moses.
Looks like a bright future to me. We just need a long-term manager... which is easier said than done with Abramovich.

Oh, business as usual then...

*sigh*

Great game, and the score I expected, although I thought Ramsey really should have pulled it level. Spurs are the only top team to be doing well alongside Utd. Third and fourth spot are there for the taking between City, Chelsea and Arsenal. I hope City and Arsenal get them spots purposely to give Roman a kick in the teeth!
