lol call me when bale scores 40+ goals a season in the EPL. or wins a champions league. or wins the EPL. or a fifa club world cup.

and even then, i wont put him in the league of ronaldo and messi.

2 mediocre seasons, 2 free-kicks <of a style he copied>, few good games and now he is up there.

Ballon d'Or doesn't mean shit when it's such a poor indication in the qualities and impact of players. The judges compare Messi and Ronaldo as strikers, but Ronaldo isn't a striker, is he? 45 goals in 45 games is a more impressive feat than anything Messi has done this season, because Ronaldo is not an out and out striker.

Somehow Messi has triple the assists Ronaldo has and he is a striker...and has close to double the goals with less shots. Messi is better than Ronaldo in every single aspect, it even beats him at free kicks! He even scores with his head! And stomach! And hand!

@Sameh, read omni's comment, Messi keeps breaking records, and keeps getting compared to football's greatest legends, not Ronaldo. The stats speak for themselves. Ronaldo is up there with the greats imo, no doubt, but I don't think he will ever be remembered as being better than Messi...

@Sameh I have to agree. For me Ronaldo is the best player in the world at the moments as he has proven he can score goals in different leagues and in different teams.

Messi is a world class player there is no doubt about that but he has only done it in the Spanish league and with the best Squad in the world at this moment in time. Ronaldo has shown he can do it in the ESP and Spanish league. If Messi wants to be known as the best player ever for me he need to go to the EPL or German league and show he can do it week in week out there as it is a different style of football compared to the Spanish league.

Messi has scored as many goals in the league as Bale and Ronaldo together! And has more assists than both of them as well!

Messi will continue to score, crush records and win trophies, he's in god tier, no one comes close to him. Ronaldo is having another great season though.

My goodness, Messi is good but 80% of that is because he plays in Barca with Xavi and Iniesta who are two of the best passers of the ball. Look at Torres for god sakes he sucks so bad at Chelsea but even he scores when he played at Euro and became Golden Boot winner.
Look at Messi when he plays at Argentina, hes just another player. Hes fantastic no one is arguing but to me he is not the best player in the world. He still has to prove himself in another team in another league like Ronaldo did.

Prove himself to who? Check how many of his goals are assists from Xavi and Iniesta, at Barca or any other team there will be people who will assist him, that's football. Torres is a different case, nothing to do with Messi at all. As for Messi's performance for Argentina, what has Ronaldo done for Portugal? Same thing..

bale shouldnt even be considered here. messi and ronaldo have won tropheys and bale has won nothing. he needs to playing in the champions league regularly and competing for championships and i cant see him doing that if he's at spurs.

I think bale is class. I can't think of another midfielder bar Ronaldo who is as good as him. I don't think he will ever be in the same boat as Messi and Ronaldo though.
