South Africa face ranking loss over Spain substitution blunder

Goal - South Africa are set to lose the Fifa world ranking points accrued in beating Spain on Tuesday because of an illegal substitution during the sides' friendly fixture in Johannesburg.

The story is too old to be commented.

Hey alright, punish the 61st rank team for something the 1st ranked team did and the FIFA referee allowed...ah what perfect logic! I truly hope they don't lose the ranking points because SA totally deserves this win. Fine or punish the referee, don't take away the hard earned ranking points from a struggling African nation.

LOL this is the thought among all South African football fans. theres a thought, when losing, just make illegal substitutions thus nullifying any points earned by the winning team.

Do you think Spain would do it with that specific intention? Really?

Spain, the World and European champions, worried about South Africa scoring some ranking points off them in a meaningless friendly?

Okaaaayyyyyyyyyy

@Computersaysno

no, i never said spain is worried about south africa. where did i say that? lol

what i meant is that if any big team risks losing points against another big team they can just pull this nonsense and save themselves.

they will keep their points.
