Seems to me that english clubs are following a trend of sacking managers without giving them time to develop.

Yeah yeah they spend and sold over the summer, still doesn't matter you have to look at who made the decisions to get such an unbalanced team.

Either way good luck to AVB in his future endeavours.

Spurs transfer business is run by Daniel Levy, the manager has no say. The club will never get there unless the manager gets full control. I think it's Levy who deserves the boot to be honest.

I agree there this is the rule rather than the exception. in this respect BR is extremely fortunate to have had the time to build his vision of Liverpool from the ground up. Same could be said for Rémi Garde of Lyon, quietly implementing his way of football with little interference.

What ? the same can't be said for Garde at all . There are only interferences at Lyon from its president . He had very little say in the club's recruitment and is just going with the cards Aulas dealt him .

They hemorraged good players , as they were lacking funds . Aulas even sold it's most promising youths . And the team is stuck being saved by a player that Aulas wished so much to sell .

We are talking aout a club that fired and hired manager constantly , blinded by dreams of Champion's league .

Garde is still there because there are no funds and no way to hire some big shot coach , what's left is diverted to the building of their new stadium

Yes he's dealing with the cards he was dealt but they are allowing him to experiment and implement his philosophy with those tools. They missed out on the Champions League, and are closer to the relegation zone than the top three all under Garde. I dont buy that he remains because well Lyon is short on funds, if the board had no faith in him they would remove him, end of. It's not as if this is some minnow team, they are used to winning.
