Metro - Gareth Southgate has warned Wayne Rooney that he may not waltz straight into the England side at the Euro 2012 finals once his two-match ban is completed.
The fact Hodgson only played him for one half of these two games shows he was really searching for the striker to start without Rooney. You know Rooney will go straight on the team sheet when he is allowed, you just cannot leave him out on the form he has been on.
