Sorry for Russia. Played the best football from anyone in that group over the 3 games. Poland played quite well too, but didn't quite have the quality to kill teams off. Can't believe the Greeks got through.
Sure enough they have done miracles before and the Euros have never been easily predictable. But they will surely be cannon fodder for the Germans assuming they wrap up their group win tomorrow.
Germany must be licking their lips, knowing a Semi Final is well within their reach.
What the other said. Things would have been really more complicated had Polland and Czech ended in a tie. Then you'd have had 3 teams at 4 points. Direct confrontations would have been useless since they each have 1 win and 1 loss. In that case, Russia would have gone through thanks to its big win versus the Czech.
We might have the same type of calculations today, in group B (either 3 teams at 6 points or 3 teams at 3 points).

Its not goal difference. Confrontation between the teams come first than goals scored.
If they tied and had the same points, then it would be solved by the difference of most goals scored.
In case of netherlands, they would only pass if they had a better goal difference than Portugal, because Portugal defeated Denmark, while Netherlands didnt.
Mind blowing right?
• Denmark will progress with any win. A draw will only be good enough if Portugal lose. If Denmark lose they are out.
• Portugal will be through with victory unless Denmark win by a one-goal margin (other than 2-1 and 1-0). They will progress with a draw unless Denmark win. Portugal will also be through if they lose by a one-goal margin and Denmark are also beaten.
• The Netherlands must win by a two-goal margin and hope Denmark also lose.
For the fisrt time, the third placed team (Denmark) is officialy qualified with a win but not the second one (Portugal) because of those new rules. Yup, that's crazy, a paradox I would called it...
Germany(Bayern) already suck it from England(Chelsea) so u can STFU atm & w8 patiently to suck it from GREECE also, be patient my friend your turns will come ^__^

Russia had chances to score but failed to put 1 in, anyway they lost.
Personally i expected a Greece win.
