Friendlies mean nothing. I saw United only beat Philadelphia Union 1-0 where Obertan scored the only goal of the match. What did they do that season? Won the prem and made the champion's league final. Smalling's injury is unfortunate but we've dealt with injuries all last season and only lost the league on GD. With Kagawa and maybe another signing or 2 we'll be a stronger squad than last year. Everyone wants to doubt United but we're always consistent when it comes to performance once the 2nd week in August comes around and especially after Christmas.
