Metro - Tottenham have reportedly rejected a £38million, cash plus add-ons, bid from Real Madrid for wantaway midfielder Luka Modric on the same day they beat New York Red Bulls 2-1 on their United States tour.
... 38 million pounds for a player who CAN be great, but also is a bit inconsistent. These are ridiculous prices for a player of this quality, and Tottenham are completely NUTS if they turn this down. Why not just buy the much better Honda instead!?
I doubt this is true. I don't think Madrid need to be held hostage to Spurs as they already have midfielders that occupy Modric's position. If they do sell to Real then I bet it is less than this article quotes
agree. why would madrid, the richest club in world football, not offer £2million more and meet spurs's valuation? surprised madrid are so interested to be honest, modric is good but for the proce quoted, there is better value.
Tottenham are one crazy club, spearheaded by the incredibly stubborn Daniel Levy. Imagine being offered Alex + 30M for Modric and refusing and now 38M. That guy needs a brain check
And its why they will never be higher than 4th.
They won't eve get accepted into he top 4 for a while and hope levy clubs goes slowly into midtavle team or something
38million for that ? did anyone check his stats. last year he scored only 2 goals and made something like 5 or 7 assists. in comparison Song made 14 assists for arsenal, walcott also made around 14 assists and he scored nearly 10goals. So i am sorry to say this but only idiots with money to burn are gonna spend that kind of money on that player. My evaluation for modric is 16 to 20 million max
