Terry ban reduced

UEFA has announced that John Terry's European suspension has been reduced on appeal.
Terry, 31, was given a three-match ban after being sent off for a foul on Alexis Sanchez during the second leg of Chelsea's Champions League semi-final victory over Barcelona last season.

The suspension ruled Terry out of the Champions League final victory over Bayern Munich in May and will also prevent his involvement in the Super Cup clash with Europa League winners Atletico Madrid later this month.

However, he will be eligible for the Blues' first Champions League group stage match after the final match of his suspension was deferred for a probationary period of three years.
