Tottenham Hotspur have failed in an attempt to sign Lyon goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, according to the club's chairman Jean-Michel Aulas.
France international Lloris was reportedly Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas' first choice to replace veteran Brad Friedel in the Tottenham goal.
However, Aulas has said the north London club's bid to sign the played was swiftly rejected, and said Lyon will only listen to financially attractive offers if 25-year-old Lloris asks for a move.
