The FA has charged Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew following an altercation with an assistant referee in the club's game against Tottenham.
Pardew, 51, has until 4pm on 23 August 2012 to respond to the charge, and decide if he wishes to appeal against his punishment.
Following the incident on Saturday, the Newcastle manager was openly apologetic, which would suggest he is unlikely to contest his potential suspension.
It was a dumb move from him, totally unnecessary. But at least he knew he was wrong afterwards.
