The 23-year-old Turkish international midfielder will join Brendan Rodgers' side on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid, subject to passing a medical.
Very disappointed that Arsenal let him slip through their fingers. That being said, it's probably for the best. He's not the kind of midfielder we REALLY need atm. Liverpool need him more than we do, especially since we have Wilshere still to come back and Ramsey can only get better now that he's played through his first post-leg-break season. What we need is a direct replacement for Song (either M'Vila or Biglia will do). Interested to see how Sahin does for Liverpool.
This disappointing for us Arsenal supporters and great signing by Liverpool. From what I've read at the end Arsenal were willing to take him only as a permanent signing, but either Real Madrid, Sahin or both didn't want that. So, Wenger stopped his interest. I understand why Wenger didn't want to have a player be crucial to the team knowing he would 100% leave (not that it hasn't happened to Arsenal recently)at the end of the season. Now, I just hope Wenger signs a more defensive minded midfielder or at the very least a real RB while Sagna gets healthy again.
it's not a great sign you tool no player worth 10M for one year. even RM bought sahin for 7.5M on 4 years contract!.
Great signing he will add lots of quality from midfield. Credit to Rodgers who has a good relationship with Mourinho, and Xabi Alonso who convinced him to come to us.
