Alessandro Del Piero has been made an offer to move to Australia to join Sydney FC, with the A-League club expecting a response from the Juventus legend in the next two days.
Del Piero, 37, left Juventus having spent 19 years with the Bianconeri and has been assessing his options all summer as he has had offers from the Middle East, the MLS and Switzerland.
Sydney FC chief executive Tony Pignata confirmed on Thursday morning, though, that the two-time A-League champions - who have previously signed Dwight Yorke and Juninho as their marquee player - hope to lure the former Italy international to Australia next season.
