At times during Arsenal's 3-1 victory over Olympiakos on Wednesday night in the UEFA Champions League, Gervinho lit up the Emirates Stadium pitch. The Ivorian took a half-chance well and converted it for another unexpected goal. He set up Lukas Podolski for Arsenal's second. At times, he even served as the team's driving creative force.
Gervinho has certainly stepped up his game and has shut the haters up. Quality player, I hope he continues to thrive with Arsenal!
I still believe he chokes under pressure. most of his goals this season have been scored against teams that don't necessarily have a quality defense. wait to start speculating till arsenal plays against the bigger clubs.
my bet is he will disappear from the game like usual
He's improved greatly, but he's still too wasteful. Part of that is because he's now doing a lot more on the pitch than last season. Now he just needs to sharpen up all that "more" that he's doing and he's golden.
