Retire or re-sign? Fire, Friedrich choose the latter

MLS: Arne Friedrich said he would either return to Chicago or retire this offseason, and it seems both he and the Fire moved rather quickly to make sure it wasn't the latter.

On Wednesday, just a week after Chicago's season ended with a playoff loss to Houston, the Fire announced the club had re-signed the German defender. Per league and club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. (Arne Friedrich, USA Major League Soccer)
