Arsene Wenger is not concerned by dissenting voices among Arsenal's fans

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he is unconcerned by dissenting voices on the terraces and feels the 'extreme opinions' are not necessarily felt by the majority of the club's fans. (Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, English Premier League)

Maybe if Arsenal invested a little more on big name players people would shut up. I've always supported Wenger and his way of dealing with things,I still do and will always. Ever since they announced the plans for the Stadium I expected the club to stay on a tight budget. However, I would like to know how much more is owed on that investment and all others related to the stadium so that I know when the purse might open up more for Star Players.........My fear however, is that it might be at least a decade.

I wouldn't say we need expensive superstars, but we shouldn't be spending less than £15m on any one player (that isn't a youngster, that is). Our Net Debt is £98.9m (according to latest financial result) and we just signed a £150m five year deal extension with Emirates. When adding the Adidas deal to come, we could comfortably spend at least £15-£21m on a player and still make profit.

When I said invest more on superstars I didn't mean buy Torres expensive. What I meant was more established players that are cheap for or less than £21m as you mentioned. For example RVP got sold, Huntelar must have been cheap to buy at the beginning of the season. Song got sold, but no one came in and Arteta was sacrificed to be a CDM. Huntelar must have cost less than Podolski. Stekelenburg and Lloris I believe were cheap too. Buys like these may at help to appease the frustrated supporters and at least maintain the quality of the squad. Once that is done then they should bring players like Giroud for Back up.

I really do think Arsenal will carry on being "Arsenal" if Wenger stays i think its time for change at the Emirates.
