MLS: It was an eventful Saturday for Americans taking part in FA Cup third-round action, led by Clint Dempsey's two goals and an assist in Tottenham's 3-0 win over guests Coventry City.
The US star beat his mark to fire home a Gareth Bale flick-on after 14 minutes. A saving tackle kept Dempsey from doubling the lead shortly thereafter, but he picked up an assist when Bale deposited his deflected shot in the 33rd minute.
