Sadly, I think Ba is right. We need more depth in our squad. When some of our most important players (AKA Mata and Hazard) are benched for a rest, we look like a chicken running around without a head (QPR game, anyone?).

Also this season is more of a transition period, so integrating the old with the new hasn't always been the easiest. We went from relying on Drogba magic to actually playing fluid attacking football in the matter of a couple months.

The way I see it, United are going to win it this year, but I think Chelsea have a good shot at the FA cup and the Carling cup.

No hope for the Europa?
Anyways, As it stands yeah, Man. United have positioned themselves as easy winners. Now, I wonder if Manchester City will try to make a push and buy the title again by signing new expensive players.

By the way, I find it weird that Chelsea hasn't bothered to compete with the Manchester Clubs on expensive quality signings like they once did. I expected that after last season most of their squad would be changed and reinforced, but only Hazard seems to have been their top quality signing until Ba.

Maybe this has to do with the owner keeping an eye on the FFP rules, but I doubt UEFA will ban big teams that bring them all of the money they make each year. Big teams or at least rich teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester City and PSG will find loop holes to stay in Europe. It will be smaller teams like what happened with Malaga that will be hit with the ban hammer.

I don't see Chelsea winning the Europa League because we're (unfortunately) not going to take it seriously... and because Ba won't be able to play in the Europa League this season.

Torres going through an Existential Crisis isn't helping either.

I'm also surprised Abramovich hasn't tried buying a big name yet.
