Liverpool and Manchester United Rivalry Remains as Fierce as Ever

BR - Liverpool and Manchester United will meet this weekend as the two British giants renew hostilities at Old Trafford.

Clashes between the two sides over the years have been the subject of controversy on and off the pitch, from Kenny Dalglish's withering assessment of Ferguson in 1988 to Gary Neville's infamous celebration of a late goal at Old Trafford in front of the Liverpool fans in 2006. No, the rivalry has become less and less fierce as Liverpool, due to many complications, have fallen from the top of the top that they once were. Liverpool hasn't even competed for the top 4 spots in a couple of seasons. When competition is Fierce is when the teams are actually pretty close from one another in terms of form, quality of the squad and of course the competitions they play in. Now for this upcoming match both squads will give it their all, just with different ambitions in mind. Manchester United have hardly anything to lose, since even if they lose they will at least be 4 points on top of Manchester City. Liverpool on the other need the points to get closer to the Europe spots.

Liverpool always try harder against United than virtually everyone else except Everton. They play better. But hopefully it won't be enough this time and United will win at home. Liverpool just won't be able to resist United's attack all game.

Not only that, City aren't gonna beat Arsenal this weekend and United will extend their lead at the top :D

Yeah, I'm hoping Arsenal destroy City. I'm also hoping Liverpool beat Utd to keep things interesting :)
