SportWitness - In the middle of January there were widespread reports linking Angel di Maria with a transfer to Manchester United. It ended up in several newspapers and a couple went way over the top saying that A Bola, a Portuguese newspaper, had said he was the club's number one target for the summer. It was saturated for a couple of days and everything referred back to a report in A Bola which didn't say half of the things some of the English press insisted it did.
