Am I stupid as I cant see the point in fining a company £250,000 if it does not exist any more?

“No Unfair Competitive Advantage”, despite being found guilty of illegal, undisclosed payments to players they couldn't afford for over a decade.

If you ever hear of a club who are kicked out of a competition for fielding ineligible players, refer their fans to this farce and see if they get off as lightly.

Not ineligible, They were correctly registered. Some details of the side payments weren't.

I meant it was comparable. Flouting the rules regarding contracts and being punished for it. For instance, Spartans were kicked out of the Scottish Cup because they fielded a player whose contract had accidentally been dated only once instead of the required twice. A DATE. They broke the rules and were ejected from the cup. Secret, tax-free side payments to around 40 players over a 10 year period broke the rules. They were used for nothing more than to gain a competitive advantage (OR maybe they were there because Rangers hate police and hospitals and roads and things?) and they should have to surrender the trophies they won during that time. Instead, they've been let off with a fine comparable to the one Celtic received for 'tapping up' Tommy Burns in the 90s and the complete joke that is Scottish football adds another nail to it's coffin.

Thank god I have English football to fall back on (I am from a half Scottish, half English family and support teams from both sides) :D :D :D
