The 31-year-old centre-back played in Saturday's 1-0 win over Reading that sent the Red Devils 15 points clear of champions Manchester City, but has warned against complacency.
Beat Sunderland, get a minimum of a draw with City on the 8th of april at Old Trafford, that will close the door finally. As long as City do not win at Old Trafford the last hope will be extinguished. United can go one better and beat City to put the icing on the cake....could be 18 points with 6 games left, effectively winning the title in theory if not quite practice on the 8th and rubbing it in. Fact is United must lose probably 4 times to even give City a sniff, and I don't see it. United could lose to City, could lose to Chelsea, lose to Arsenal and still win the title in comfort at this point.
