Schurrle 'agrees terms with Chelsea'

Bayer Leverkusen’s Andre Schurrle has agreed personal terms with Chelsea, with the Blues ready to spend €22 million to bring the attacking midfielder to Stamford Bridge, Die Welt has reported.

The paper said Schurrle, 22, could sign a contract until 2018. Leverkusen officials will travel to London on Friday to negotiate the details of a deal which, with the player’s wages included, could be worth around €50 million.

The story is too old to be commented.

If they get rid of Lukaku and De Bruyne then they are the stupidest club in the world and will never have a club legacy like man united or barcelona.

If you want to be a huge club forever then you need to give your young players a chance and if you do invest in them like Lukaku and De Bruyne dont get rid of them as soon as the "next big thing" arrives

Agreed, but selling Lukaku or De Bruyne is completely out of the question. They have proven themselves, so there's no way they're being sold.

To make room for Schurrle (if that's even happening) i think Marin is going out on loan.

Chelsea just seem like a club that would sell a good young player and replace them with a different expensive player because the owner and a few other guys whos transfer policy is spend big on players with a reputation.

I cant think of many players who trained at chelsea and became a regular first team player since terry

Also i think they should keep marin and get rid of benayoun

This is something that pisses me off as well. Our youth team is pretty darn good (they just reached the FA youth cup after beating Liverpool earlier today) but we rarely see those players implemented in the main team. Usually they're just loaned out and forgotten about, which has to change.
