Blancos president Florentino Perez has confirmed the Portuguese coach is set to end his three-year spell in La Liga following a trophy-less season in the capital
I'm glad he's gone, this season he went too far. The club and its values > His ego. Great article by the way; goal.com/en-gb/news/3277/la-li ga/2013/05/20/3993173/mourinho- had-to-go-real-madrid-are-bette r-off-without-him?ICID=HP_BN_3
To be honest, he was the best thing that could have happened to RM. We had 3 straight semis in the champions, RM came back to take what can be considered to be Madrids trophy. We became top seed again and competed in europe. The Spanish press, marca, to be specific along with casillas, his gf,/pepe all made it completely worse off. That article, whilst a nice bit to read, you can feel the bias. Whilst, Casillas is the captain, and an institution it doesn't give him the divine right to be in goal if he is out of form and other keepers are in top form. Diego lopez has deserved the XI spot more than anyone else apart from Ronaldo on the team. Pepe, is a big a disgrace and I dont kind seeing him on the bench, he is a butcher nothing else. My issues with mou were his inability to keep issues IN the dressing room and to explain to people what is his man love with khedira about. Now looking towards the future, idk if carlos ancelotti is the future. I say we take our time and check a for a proper manager, perhaps the bayern manager.
Casillas was never out of form though. 8 clean sheets in 19 league games with only conceding 16 goals. 1st game without Casillas Madrid lose 3-2 against Málaga. Casillas is injured after 19 league games. First game without Casillas again, Madrid lose to Granada 1-0 with Diego López in goal. Diego López only has 2 clean sheets in 15 league games so far and has conceded 17 goals. Casillas only played 2 and a half games in his Copa del Rey run before getting injured. 2 clean sheets in 2 games. He played only the 1st half of that game as he was injured, Madrid draw 1-1 but the goal came after Casillas left play. Adan only kept 1 clean sheet in his 3 Copa games. Conceded 2 goals. Diego López had no clean sheets in his 3 Copa games. Conceded 3 goals. Casillas conceded only 1 goal. Casillas conceded 8 goals in 5 games in the Champions League group stage, no clean sheets. Diego López conceded 9 goals in 6 games but kept 2 clean sheets. League, Cup and Europe stats; Name - Games - Goals Against - Clean Sheets Casillas - 27 - 25 - 10 Diego López - 24 - 29 - 4 Adan - 7 - 5 - 2 Casillas was never in bad form, Mourinho just hates him because Casillas will always be bigger than Mou at Madrid! Next manager needs to sell Pepe and I'd love to know why Madrid didn't offer a big deal for Martinez yet kept Khedira! Carlos is my pick.
lol, man love with khedira. but i agree with what you said
Madrid dont deserve Mourinho, the fans were always against him no matter what he did. I wouldnt be surprised if Ronaldo leaves too. @KrazyKombatant It was said that Casillas GF the reporter got information from that was leaked by him from the locker room, lost alot of respect for Casillas after hearing that.
Ronaldo won't be leaving, has a $1 billion buyout clause. Apparently he had enough of Mou too, videos of Ronaldo looking angrily at Jose during one of his goals. Mourinho lost all my respect this year. Casillas did nothing wrong but was victimised by Mourinho for his mistakes and the team's poor form, not Iker's.
They will have to sell him within the next 15 months unless they want to risk having him leave on a free transfer, the buyout clause means very little if Ronaldo refuses to renew his contract as the club will be forced to sell at the best offer.
