Real Madrid newboy Gareth Bale finally shook hands with the man he surpassed as the world's most expensive footballer as he gets ready to make his Real Madrid bow.
If you add inflation, Ronaldo still cost more. I rate Bale and think he's a quality player and just what Madrid needed after Barcelona signed Neymar. Still, he doesn't deserve the title of world's most expensive player.
when people talk about Bale situation, i think a lot of them are comparing his skills/talent to the price madrid paid for him and thats whats coming out in a negative light.
i dont think they mean to say he isnt any good, he just isn't 100 million great. had madrid paid in the region of 45-50 million, i assume it wouldn't have been such a bad thing. it would have certainly been less pressure for him to perform.
with this price, no doubt he is going to be compared to CR7 and by association lionel messi and lets face it....i dont think any of us will rate Bale that high. this is why i think he could be labelled a flop in 2 or 3 years.....trust me i have nothing against him and i hope he succeeds and proves me wrong but for now i just dont see it.
so yeah..i agree with you that he doesnt deserve that title indeed.
