They came so close, in the end though you have to be over the moon with what BR has done to the team. Such great efforts this year from literally every player (minus Aspas and Moses lol). Already looking forward to next season!

Nice come back from Liverpool. After the Chelsea game I don't think anyone thought City would slip up and they haven't so fair play to them. Liverpool have had the best season of any team in the league though in my opinion, Utd had the worst.

what kind of logic is that? MC have had the best season in the league, followed by LFC, period!

asmith23063626d ago

Yes, the billion dollar squad winning by 2 points clearly eclipses Liverpool (with an £80m less wage bill than City) jumping from seventh last year to second.

LFC had their best season since their slump years ago but doesn't change the fact that MC had the best season. - winning Capital One Cup and the EPL and now even raised their ranking in UEFA which makes their draw in the next UCL become better ie. no more group of death. how can LFC even top that?

MajorLazer3626d ago

Man City have played better than LFC. Also, only Gerrard can 'slip up' ;)

lol liverpool and their fans.

"YAY YNWA, we finished above united." lol even in uniteds worst season in over 2 decades do they have more silverware than liverpool.

we din't spend 27m on a mophead tho.

badz1493626d ago

kinda forgot LFC spent 35 mil on a ponytail man there, weren't you?

Every team needs luck in the Champions League, and denying something special didn't happen for Liverpool this year is bull. From seventh to second, and played some unbelievable attacking football, they were always entertaining. Rodgers isn't going to let this years performances fade away, not while he is around. Liverpool are finally on the up again.
