It’s not exactly one you hear every day but Batman creators DC Comics have begun legal proceedings against Valencia after noticing that the latest incarnation of the Spanish side’s club crest is now closer to looking like the Bat signal than ever before.
According to Spanish paper Plaza Deportiva, DC have reportedly filed an official complaint with the OHIC, the European Union’s trademark registration organization, over the new reworking of Valencia’s badge – seen here…

Give me a break. Valencia has been using the image of a bat long before Batman was even a thing. Hopefully Valencia counter sues these jokers (no pun intended =p).

i think the article has it wrong regarding the DC bat symbol. the bat symbol i think DC could be referring to is the 1999 batman beyond bat symbol which does look almost exactly the same at valencias symbol in the article.

Looks like the Batman Beyond symbol. Still, how can this possibly be bad for the Batman brand? Everybody will recognize it and immediately think of Batman. DC is stupid for this one.
