Chelsea, it seems, are finally getting their act together. Just a couple of days ago they had an unhappy manager and no first-choice striker, with the transfer window drawing parallels with the doomed summer that ultimately led to Jose Mourinho’s sacking two years ago. Now they have signed Antonio Conte up to a new deal and placated him further by buying a player he has chased since he was in charge of Juventus. But have they lost something along the way?
