COBHAM, England (AFP) - Carlo Ancelotti has warned his Chelsea players against the complacency that could allow the Premier League title to slip from their grasp.
Ancelotti's side go into their final game of the season against Wigan at Stamford Bridge on Sunday one point ahead of second placed Manchester United who host Stoke.
With home advantage and faced by opponents who have nothing left to play for this season, Chelsea are strong favourites to lift the title for the first time since 2006 and complete the first leg of a potential league and FA Cup double.
But, while Ancelotti acknowledges his team is in a strong position, he insists his players must maintain the high standards they have set throughout the campaign to avoid a shock late slip-up.
The Blues boss knows all about Wigan's threat having seen his team beaten at the DW Stadium when the two teams met earlier this season.
agree. they must focus. Dont let Man U steal the trophy!
I really hope multi billion Chelsea will loose. They have 1 player who plays for the shirt, the rest play for the money. The true world of football does not deserve a Chelsea victory.
My only point is that Glazer,Hicks,Abrahamovitsj, abu dhabu must away from football.Back to reality.
hope chesla and man u lose hi be wile funny
