Wayne Rooney Suffers Suspected Groin Injury In Manchester United's Victory Over Stoke

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney was substituted during the second half of the 4-0 victory over Stoke at Old Trafford this afternoon with a suspected groin injury.

Darren Fletcher, Ryan Giggs, a Danny Higginbotham own goal and a Ji-Sung Park header handed the Red Devils the win, although Chelsea’s 8-0 hammering of Wigan meant that Alex Ferguson’s side relinquish the title.

The story is too old to be commented.
