Zenit St Petersburg clinched a narrow 1-0 victory over Sibir Novosibirsk in the final of the Russian Cup today.
Roman Shirokov scored the only from the penalty spot after an hour of the contest at Olimp 2 Stadium in Rostov-on-Don.
Despite the loss, Premier Liga newcomers Sibir nevertheless reach the qualifying rounds of next season's Europa League after Zenit secured their place in the same competion with a third-placed finish in the league last term.
