Chelsea & Liverpool Panic As Mourinho Targets Drogba, Cole, Lampard, Torres & Gerrard

Liverpool and Chelsea are apparently concerned at the news that Jose Mourinho has made a clutch of Premier League stars his prime targets when he is appointed as Real Madrid coach, according to a report from The Sun.

The Portuguese, whose Inter team won the Champions League on Saturday, is believed to be eyeing moves for Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole from his former club Chelsea, as well as Liverpool duo Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres.

The Sun claims that Mourinho, who will shortly sign a four-year contract with an annual salary of £8 million to become coach at the Bernabeu, will be handed a £100 million transfer kitty by Real. Mourinho is also poised to try and take Inter stars Diego Milito, Wesley Sneijder and Julio Cesar from the San Siro with him to Spain, according to the report.

The story is too old to be commented.
