Chelsea are weighing up a double move for Liverpool's Javier Mascherano and Yossi Benayoun.
The Double winners realise Liverpool are vulnerable to offers and have earmarked the duo to reinforce their ageing squad with Michael Ballack and Joe Cole expected to leave.

This is possible, but hope not. This is two great players.
It is important that Liverpool keep the core of the team and not sell off the best players from each position. Mascherano is a player they can`t sell. The fans have not deserved that.
Agreed. Benayoun, however, is a player Liverpool should try and keep, but I think he wants more first team football. From Benitez' side, Yossi was always considered a squad player. Mascherano is an important player for Liverpool and Benitez should do everything in his power to make him stay... But with an unhappy wife (who can blame her, with the climate of Barcelone and the likes looming in the horizon) I think it might be difficult to keep Mascherano. If the transfersaga begins again this year as it did last summer. Sell him! Maybe Lucas can fit into that role...
