'Hungry' Robbie Keane ready to fight for Tottenham place on their European adventure

Robbie Keane insists he can play a full part in Tottenham’s Champions League campaign next season after regaining his hunger for the game during a fourmonth loan spell at Celtic.

Keane opted for a short-term move to Celtic Park after slipping to fourth-choice striker behind Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch and Roman Pavlyuchenko.

But despite being linked with a move to Aston Villa this summer — even though a £15m price tag is likely to prove too expensive for Martin O’Neill — Keane insists he is determined to prove he is back to his best.
