(GSM) - Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is preparing a £25m bid for Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini, according toTuttosport.
The 25-year-old centre-back is believed to be the Fergusons top choice to replace Nemanja Vidic, the Serbian national is being linked with Manchester City and Real Madrid.
According to the reports, United would be ready to offer Chiellini €3.5m per annum, an increase on his current €2m at Juventus.
The Old Lady star earns a modest £1.7m a year and has two seasons left on his current contract at Juventus.
