Only a few hours after many of them closed, some Sacramento bars and pubs opened at 6:00 a.m. Friday in preparation for the World Cup soccer match between the United States and Slovenia.
Before the 7:00 a.m. kickoff to the crucial game, it was already a standing room-only scene at de Vere's Irish Pub in midtown Sacramento.
