Striker Alvaro Negredo Hits Back At Sevilla Boo Boys

Alvaro Negredo doesn't appreciate the whistles his performances have received during a difficult 12 months with Sevilla.

Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo has admitted that it is difficult to perform when the fans criticise his performances, but also stated that the supporters are entitled to their opinion.

The former Almeria and Real Madrid front man has endured a difficult 12 months since arriving at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan for a substantial €15 million fee, and sections of the Andalucian support have turned on the Spaniard.

Negredo is hopeful that his form in front of goal will improve this season, but he finds the disapproval hard to take.

AS reports that he said: “Nobody likes to be whistled, especially at home, but it is the public who decide. I am a striker, I live for scoring and I need to feel good. From whistling came anxiety, and other things make you unable to play like you would want to.
