Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick is out for three weeks because of an Achilles tendon injury.
The 29-year-old started the Community Shield win over Chelsea but has made just one substitute appearance for United in their three league games.
"He should be out for three weeks, maybe a month at most," said United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
Carrick out might be for the better for United. He is not one of the club weakest cards, and some times I wonder why he is even playing in a big club as United. He doesnt have the skills.
