Manchester United centre-back Rio Ferdinand has defended manager Sir Alex Ferguson's decision to shake up his starting line-up for the goalless draw with Rangers.
Ferguson, 68, made 10 changes to the side that drew 3-3 with Everton at the weekend. His choice has come in for criticism after United failed to kick-off their Champions League campaign with a victory.
