Chelsea starlet Gael Kakuta is close to agreeing a contract extension which will keep him at the club for the next five years, according to the London Evening Standard.
Kakuta, 19, rose to prominence last season after his arrival from Lens sparked an initial transfer ban for two windows. The ban was overturned on appeal. The attacker shrugged off the controversy to play a star role in France's victorious under-19 European Championship campaign and came on as a late substitute in last weekend's 3-1 victory at West Ham United.
