A dramatic equaliser by Balazs Dzsudzsak in the last minute of the game rescued a point for PSV after Fabrizio Cacciatore's first half header gave Sampdoria an unexpected lead.
Two teams who missed out on the Champions League faced off this evening in the Europa League. Sampdoria were missing striker Giampaolo Pazzini, so youngster Guido Marilungo stepped into the breach. PSV on the other hand had Swede's Markus Berg and Ola Toivonen in their ranks along with the ever impressive Ibrahim Afellay.
