(GSM) - Cruzeiro are the new leaders in the Brazilian Serie A following a 1-0 victory over previous leaders Fluminense.
Fluminense began the day in first place and a win over Cruzeiro would have left them much closer to winning the championship.
But it was not meant to be for 'Flu' at Belo Horizonte's Joao Havelange stadium, where Wellington Paulista scored what turned out to be the only goal after 14 minutes.
With nine rounds to go, Cruzeiro are now two points ahead of Fluminense.
