Afellay gives the upper hand to Premier League clubs for his signature.
PSV Eindhoven star Ibrahim Afellay has stated his hopes to play in the Premier League despite much interest from top clubs in Italy, Spain and Germany.
The 24-year-old has been in suberb form for both PSV and the Dutch national team, exemplified by his man of the match display in Oranje's 4-1 victory over Sweden.
The Dutch star will be out of contract at the end of this season therefore PSV are reportedly eager to sell him in the January transfer window to avoid the risk of losing him on a free transfer.
Afellay recently expressed his desire to play in La Liga and now in England, therefore tipping the odds against the keen Italian clubs such as Inter and Juventus.
