Former Atletico Madrid defender Mariano Pernia, currently with Nacional in Uruguay, claims that the best players in the world reside in the Primera Division in Spain.
Speaking exclusively to Goal.com Latin America, the former Spain international said that La Liga is filled with world class players.
"I think that the best players in the world are in the Spanish league," said Pernia. "That's attractive to anyone. It is very competitive and the football is very good and very tactical."
You don`t need to call yourself Mariano Pernia to tell us that. The best players in the best league, England is the second best league, then Germany, France and Italy.
