Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor was delighted to be back amongst the goals as he scored his first goals of the season in a 3-1 win against Lech Poznan in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The Togo international hadn't yet opened his account for the season but did so in style with three well-taken goals.
However it was not all plain-sailing for City as Joel Tshibamba pulled a goal back for the Polish champions, but Adebayor was pleased to be the first man to score a hat-trick in Europe for the Citizens.
“I’m very happy [to have scored a hat-trick in Europe for City]” Adebayor told Channel 5.
I hate City. HATE. For some reason I cant stop liking Adebayor. He is just a great player.I hope he leaves City soon.
