The Philips Stadion was the venue for Feyenoord's thumping by hosts PSV. Feyenoord last time out were narrowly beaten by Twente, and started brightly against PSV but it was a day of damage limitation for the Rotterdam club and they didn't do a good job. PSV strolled to victory against ten men with Jonathan Reis continuing his fine spell of scoring in what turned out to be a day to forget for the men in yellow.
Jonathan Reis scored his first ever hat-trick in senior football, as PSV equalled their scoring record for the fourth time in their history. The last 10-0, in 1998 against FC Volendam.
